I’m a fan of La Ligne sweaters. The quality is there and so is the classic with small but impactful details that I love; check out the knitted line up the back. I’m lucky enough to live close to their Madison Ave. location, so I can go for a try on. Their hugely popular Marin sweater is too long for a vertically challenged person like me, so I opt for the Mini Marin. It used to only be available in stripes and now you can buy them in solids. I wear the xs and bought the black but really liked the other colors. They are made of thick cotton knit and can be worn all seasons. If you are looking for a sweater that you will have forever and constantly grab when you don’t have a lot of time to decide on what to wear, this is for you.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I love a cropped jacket. I like to look put together with minimal effort. I want to throw on jeans, a top, jacket and be done. Both of these caught my eye.

Speaking of cropped jackets, these lady jacket are a staple in my wardrobe. I tried this on and this year’s version is a bit longer, so I was able to size down. I would normally go for the black and white version but I have last year’s version that is pretty close, so I’m eyeing the brown version.

I like to wait until mid September until most of the fall offering have been released. However, I had to preorder this one. Why? I have nothing like this in my wardrobe and it checks the classic with a twist box that is part of my check list for buying clothes. A lady jacket in an edgy material qualifies as classic with a twist. I got rid of nine bags of clothes recently. I bought so many things during the pandemic that I gave away. Many of which were prints and very feminine dresses. I chalk it up to wanting to feel comfortable but pretty during a difficult time. Now, I’m leaning toward more menswear items and neutrals. I’m making less impulse buys, taking more time to think through my purchases, and the items need to be make a statement or be special in some way. Special can be material, details, or silhouette.

I bought this one because it checks the classic with a twist/ statement making box with the added benefit of being able to wear it now. It love that it freshens up some older items. The sequins are subtle in person, which I appreciated and the oversized cuffs are chef’s kiss. It runs large because I bought a zero, which is rare. Love it untucked with some of the bottom and top buttons undone under a oversized blazer.

I love this leather jacket because it’s minimal in details in comparison to the leather moto jackets in my closet, which I’m not feeling lately. You can wear this as a shirt/blazer or outerwear making this incredibly versatile. I was able to try this on and the xs was the size that worked best for me.

This suit is a great buy because it’s timeless, and would be an essential part of a fall capsule wardrobe based on the number of outfits you could create with basic pieces in your wardrobe.

I’m a huge fan of shells. They work so well during the transitions between seasons. I wear them under a blazer or cardigan. If you get too warm, just remove your outer layer and the shell looks great on it’s own. I also love that they eliminate arm bulk under jackets and blazers.

Cute socks in swiss dot and windowpane prints that look great with loafers and mary janes.

Thanks for visiting!
