The Sunday Seven
This classic cable-knit is also available in cream and a light blue but the light grey is the one that I ordered in a size small. All colors would likely work with your plenty of items in your wardrobe. I’m sensitive to most sweaters that aren’t cotton, so I wear a tee, tissue turtleneck or button down under every sweater, especially turtlenecks.
I grabbed this blazer in houndstooth wool on sale. It’s a fantastic purchase because it’s timeless, the quality is topnotch, and it’s easy to dress up or down. I was debating between a 4 or a 6 because I like my blazers to be slightly oversized. I ended up buying a 4 and it’s not too tight or oversized. I was able to wear it with a tee and a cashmere and I still was able to button it.
I have a few scarf and hat sets in fun colors but I bought this grey combo because all the pieces were on sale and the color goes with basically all my coats. I don’t have to take the time to think if it works with the coat I’m wearing and it won’t show Ozzie’s hair because they are the same color! I’m not a fan of gloves. because they tend to be too bulky. I find that glittens work best for me. I just flip up the flap and I can get into my wallet and use my phone easily.
My holiday season will be pretty casual but I did want something festive, so I bought this festive bag that will elevate a casual outfit, and I can wear it beyond the holidays, which is one rule I try to follow.
I preordered these shoes in silver and gold but they became available in store before the preorder date. They are the perfect height to wear for long periods time and for work. They do show toe cleavage but that has never bothered me. I bought my typically size 7.5 and they are perfect. These will give life to a basic outfit like a grey cashmere crewneck and jeans. I love the black and silver but I have a pair of Chanel shoes that are it’s twin, which confirms it’s a pair to grab. I love to wear one hero piece with an otherwise basic outfit and these check that box.
I saw this in store and loved it. I would have bought it but I just bought another fair isle. It’s available in a bright blue and a neutral.
Along with my regulars, I bought a few new beauty items to try. I’m loyal to the IT Cosmetics CC cream SPF 50 but I wanted to try the illuminating formula now that the weather is beginning to get colder and my skin will be drier and duller. I’m loving it! It basically saves a step of adding an illuminating primer. It provides slightly less coverage than the regular version but it’s buildable and it does what it says, so it’s exactly what I wanted.
I was influenced to try the Mario skin enhancer. I never wear bronzer because I’m so fair and they look too orange on me. I bought it in light and it warms your skin without making me look like Trump. I wouldn’t wear it every day but I’d use it when I needed a boost in the winter when a vacation is needed but not possible.
The Huda lipstick is a great bright red that is comfortable on your lips and lasts forever.
I have a power highlighter from Tarte that I love and a stick version from Westman that I like but it’s a bit sticky, so I wanted to see If i liked this liquid version. It literally melts into your skin.
I always use setting spray and when it sets, it has a matte finish that erases all the glow I’ve tried to achieve. I’ve never used one that claims that it provides a dewy finish. This delivers and the bottle makes me happy.
Thanks for visiting.
