I went to Kate Spade to take advantage of the 30 percent off this past week. I didn’t try the dress I fell in love with because it was too expensive even with the discount. I also didn’t try it because I knew I’d love it and want it once I tried it on. Instead, I left with these loafers that come in white, this lilac color and black. They also come in mules in white, black and silver. They have great cushioning, which is really important as a New Yorker. I sized a half size down. The code is onebigfamily and it ends today, Sunday.

I bought these shoes on promo but even if you don’t, $79 isn’t a bad price. I took my normal size and they are extremely comfortable. They come in great colors. I especially love the brilliant sapphire color. I got the sundrenched peony, which will probably get dirty even with a suede spray, but I couldn’t help myself because I loved the color.

I also took advantage of an online promo at Neiman Marcus Get $100 off $400 or $50 off $200 with your select purchase of women’s shoes or handbags to get this pair of Loeffler Randall that I’ve wanted for ages ( they were on last weeks blog.) The code is  NMSALE. The promo is over today, Sunday. Loeffler Randall is one of my favorite shoe brands. I have to go up a size for most of their shoes because they are narrow, and for these I had to go up a size and a half because of the knot.

I tried this linen dress at J Crew during their 30 percent off “Spring Ahead” event on Saturday, which reminded me of the Free People dress below that I’ve always loved but never bought because it’s too low cut and needs a cami. I think a cami changes the line and look of the dress, so I never pulled the trigger. This J. Crew dress is perfect with no cami required. I think the print which has different shades of blue and goes with any color shoe. I had to order a size down. Can’t wait for it to arrive. I hope it fits.

The event also offered 25 percent off cashmere if you used your J Crew card. I’ve always wanted this bright yellow cashmere J Crew crew neck sweater that sold out a long time ago, so when I saw this one, which was close to the one I wanted, it was a done deal with the 25 percent off.

Steal of the week - I follow a blogger in London that makes H&M purchase look really expensive. She was wearing these leather strappy sandals, which just posted to the site. I bought them, so we’ll see what they look like in person shortly. They also come in a bright red, which were tempting.
