The best of the week

I love finding new to me brands that create clothes that are made in limited quantities, fit my aesthetic and are affordable. Damaris Bailey checked all those boxes. Below is the Yucatan dress that I just purchased but it hasn’t arrived yet. It’s the second dress I’ve purchased from Damaris Bailey. The first was the Limon Y Sol that you can find here, which is now sold out. The quality is fabulous, which made me want to get another dress from her. You can find Yucatan dress here.

I’m a concealer connoisseur. I have dark circles and I’m very fair, so they are hard to cover. I’ve tried just about every concealer on the market. I recently bought Cover FX Power Play concealer based on the reviews. It’s one you have to go to Sephora and try it on because there is a wide variety of color choices. It’s based on your shade (fair, light, medium and deep) and undertone (pink, neutral, golden and golden olive) . I am a P (pink) light 2. Once you find the right color, you’ll be happy. It’s almost as if it was a custom color made for you. It’s not cakey and dry and the best one I’ve tried in ages.

This is my favorite new dress that I posted on Instagram today. It has pockets and will work in the fall with boots and a cardigan. When you’re short, many elements are off. It does run long and It hits me at the ankle, which most midi dresses do. I actually like the length. The hook and eye at the chest wasn’t in the right place for me either, which was no surprise. The ruffles at the front make it easy to hide a safety pin to help with the opening that’s too wide. I think it’s a versatile dress that I can wear to work or on a weekend with sneakers and a jean jacket.

I have crumb problem in my kitchen and I’m sure you do too. This little gadget is the solution.

Here are some of my favorites from H&M. I bought the red and cream floral skirt, which is on it’s way. I’m thinking about adding the blush balloon sleeve top to my cart. It’s selling out quickly. Thoughts?
