I was so excited to see one of my idols, Linda Rodin, featured in Who What Wear's fall issue. You can check it out here.  She has a really interesting history.  She was a model, fashion stylist and the creator of the Olio Lusso line, which she created in her kitchen and sold to Estee Lauder.  She has the best eye and enviable style, which is sought out by young and old alike.   Her Instagram (lindaandwinks) has 185k followers! I love that she's comfortable in her skin and doesn't conform to what society thinks a woman of her age should wear. The other fashionable people that are featured in the fall issue are Kate Bosworth, Shiona Turini, Kiersey Clemons, Kate Young, Jeanne Damas and Paloma Elsesser.  I didn't recognize some of the names, which made the issue more enjoyable. 

Back to Linda.  She is known for her poodle Winks, bright lips, gray hair, her love of denim and her collection of glasses, which are fabulously captured in Sophie Elgort's photos below.  I too am a lover of glasses. Linda's typically have pastel (usually blue or lavender) tinted lenses. One of her favorite places to buy frames is Cutler and Gross, but their frames are expensive, so I opt for Warby Parker instead.

Warby Parker is one of my favorite companies.  For someone like me who sees glasses as an accessory and feels the need to have more than one pair, their glasses make a small dent in your budget.  You can order frames to try at home, you can get an eye exam onsite, and most importantly, for every pair you purchase, they give a pair to underserved populations.  

The last time I went I bought three pairs, so I try not to visit often.  Right now they have a pair of shades called the Silvan that I'm dying to buy. You can see the frames below. Lucky for me, they brought back the frames from their previous collaboration with Amanda de Cadenet.  A little info about Amanda, she's a fashion and portrait photographer, a writer, a director, an author, a creator of TV and online shows, and, to top it off, she runs her own production company. Pretty impressive, no? 

I'm a huge fan of Olivia Palermo's style.  I was excited to see her new collection that debuted at the Banana Republic on Fifth Avenue and online during NYFW.  I don't typically shop at Banana Republic, but I'm willing to make an exception because I'm a huge fan of Olivia's.  You can find her collection here.  In my opinion, the collection is very reflective of her style, which made me happy. If you see street style photos of her, she's a lover of leather pants and military details. I've picked some of my favorites from her collection below, but I think I need to touch, feel and try the items.  Has anyone tried any of her pieces?
