What's Chic This Week

I usually need to wear a block heeled boot for NYC street walkability and comfort. These went on sale and they look just like a pair of Aeyde Dorothy ankle boots, which are far more expensive. There’s no way these could check both boxes but I wanted to give them a try. Well, I was proven wrong. The black came home with me.

I wanted a pair of darker jeans and these popped up. I tried these on before in the original denim, which are stiffer. These are different, super soft and flowy possibly because they are made with recycled cotton. Who knows, who cares. As the days get shorter and colder, I want comfort. I sized down two sizes. If you are looking for jeans that feel like sweats or pjs, these hit the mark.

I have a weakness for hair accessories. I’d love to get any of these as a stocking stuffer.

I bought the crewneck. I’m not a fan of anything shrunken, so sized up one size to a medium and it’s perfect.

I tried all of these on in store. They ran TTS for me. I was debating between the Mary Jane and the bow heels in brown (they are available in other colors) that are both on sale! I ended up buying the black Mary Janes but it was a struggle because I loved the slingbacks. I love a high block heel for the extra height, walkability and comfort. The gold ball closure and the texture (hard to see in the photo, so take a closer look) elevates them to designer looking level.

It’s hard to find a true black jean, so these came home with me. Most black denim is distressed, which doesn’t look as polished at work. I have this style in blue denim, cotton and cords, so they are reliable. No hemming required, and they look great with flats, heels and boots.

Bought this as part of the Credo sale. It’s just as great as the shampoo and conditioner. It smells heavenly and does what it promises — smooths and hydrates. It’s available in a travel size, which would make a great stocking stuffer.

You can’t go wrong with a classic like this. I saw it in store and it’s good. I wanted to try it on, but I had bought enough at that point.

Here are just some of the colors in this line of cashmere blend socks. You’d likely not buy these for yourself but you’d love it if you got them as a gift. Give them!

Love these tech gloves. I need to grab a pair since my knit gloves from last year are trashed.

I’m still loving red. I would size up in the cardigan because it’s fitted. If you’re not a fan of red, it’s available in a ton of other colors.

A black leather skirt is common. The chocolate brown is a nice change and just as versatile.

Here are almost all of the products I routinely buy at Sephora. I have an old Dyson Air Wrap but they have new editions, so I had to link to the new version. I’m dying to try the Shark that’s a lot less money. I may buy it as part of the sale as a backup incase my Dyson dies. I have to say that my Dyson got wet and stopped working and Dyson replaced it with no hassle and upgraded it to a better version, so the customer service is excellent if that helps.
