What went in my cart this week

I recently replenished my signature scent “YOU” from Glossier, which gave me the opportunity to try their new “Pro Tip” liquid eyeliner and a sample of “Future Dew” an oil serum hybrid. I would 100 percent buy the eyeliner again, and I’m buying the full size of the Future Dew.

Pro Liner - The liner goes on smoothly without skipping or pulling, it stays on all day and makes the most precise line I’ve ever been able to make. I’ve tried many felt tip liquid liners and this is the perfect pen.

Future Dew - It’s hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested, cruelty-free, vegan, non-comedogenic, and good for all skin types. I’m using it as an extra glow on top of my Lawless highlighter. I’m using it on my cheekbones, Cupid’s Bow and brow bone. Most highlighters disappear on me after a few hours, but his glow lasts all day. Trust me, try it.

I love these pieces as an outfit and on their own.

Here’s what I bought during the 40 percent off sale at J. Crew:

  • I bought this burgundy crepe skirt in black. I love crepe because of the drape and the fact that it doesn’t wrinkle.

  • A sweater with jewels to go with the burgundy pleated skirt (below) and the navy and black versions I own.

  • A lariat necklace that will go with everything from a tee to a sweater or a button-down shirt.

  • A fun pair of statement earrings for a night out or a holiday party.

  • Bow earrings that work for day or night.

  • A burgundy pleated skirt that I have in many colors already that works with so many tops and sweaters. It’s great with tights and tall boots in the winter and on its own in the spring and summer.

  • A black beanie. I bought a black beanie at another store and it’s too itchy. I have this hat in neon yellow and pink and I haven’t had any issues with sensitivity.

Now that I have multiple piercings in my ears (three holes in one ear and two in the other), I’m buying dainty earrings. I have diamond studs made from my grandfather’s cuff links and pearls from my mom. I wear both on rotation. I typically opt for larger costume earrings. I’ve never been into collecting dainty studs until now.

Ever since I’ve gotten more holes, I’ve been looking for very tiny diamond hoops. that work with all my holes and don’t break the bank. I’ve been looking for a while and I’ve found that some mini hoops are too tiny to fit in my original hole where my lobe is the fleshiest. This weekend, I saw a promo on Instagram for 20 percent off (MV20NEW) at Monica Vinader for new customers. Her store opened close to my apartment over the summer and I’ve passed by it many times but haven’t gone in. Now, I had two reasons. Well, actually, three reasons —holes to fill, a coupon, and charity. This weekend a number of stores on Madison Ave. from 57th - 86th participated in Miracle on Madison where 20 percent of all sales will go towards curing pediatric cancer. If I was going to make a purchase, this would be the right time. My hoops totaled around $256, which is a great deal in my opinion, and I can wear them in all my holes. Check out my hoops and some of my other favorites.
