Items on my mind this week

I recently got a discount to Neiman Marcus and I bought these but had to choose between them and the Loeffler Randall’s Penny Knot Mule in Leopard below. I still want them and they are in my mental shopping cart but felt the ones I bought would go with more in my summer/spring closet. I have also always wanted the Zadie feather tote but I’ve never pulled the trigger because it’s not practical for my lifestyle.

I recently spotted these two Gal Meets Glam dresses that I love. I’m a huge fan of maxi dresses all year long. I’m happy I won’t have to wear them with boots and tights in a a month or so. I also think maxi dresses are a good investment b/c I can layer most (depending on the color and fabric) with a turtleneck, throw on a blazer and couple them with tights and boots in the winter and then discard the layers in the summer and throw on sandals.

I’ve heard amazing things about Augustinus Bader and Vinter’s Daughter skincare (just Google and you’ll see what I mean), but I’m not willing to shell out $265 and $185 respectively, so these will never be in my cart. Part of the reason is also because it’s a reoccurring cost and not a one time purchase. I’m the type that believes at that price you’re paying for packaging and marketing; however, I wouldn’t knock trying a sample to see what all the hype is about and if I’m wrong this time. I’m usually disappointed by hyped items, so I have a feeling it would be the same situation with these brands. For example, I tried a sample of La Mer and thank goodness I didn’t shell out the money for it from my own pocket.

I’m short, so I wear heels all the time at work. I carry heels to work and wear comfortable shoes on the commute, so sneakers are an item that fits my lifestyle. I also love the ability sneakers have to dress down an outfit and add a cool casual factor to the look. I’m loving these below. I also like the Veja but I heard there’s a long break in period.

I’m slightly obsessed with the Lapima brand of sunglasses. Below is the Lisa that comes in a load of colors, below are just two. I love a cat-eye and the Lisa is a combo of a subtle cat-eye and strong square shape. I love their sunglasses because they are bold and statement-making.

I think this oil diffuser would enhance my life because I love scents and it will likely lift my mood. I also love that it has safety-off switches and the scents are cruelty-free. There’s a promo going on at Anthropologie that I can use on this, so I may just put this one in my cart.

I have a few items in my Everlane cart including the straight leg pants, the cashmere crew and the soft cotton crew. I think the reason I haven’t pulled the trigger is sizing and the fact that they are basics (except the citron color of the cashmere crew) and I have a hard time buying basics. I love things that are whimsical, fun, feminine and colorful, so it’s always hard for me to spend money on things that aren’t any of these things. Weird, I know but I see basics as work. What I mean is that I will need to transform them to be more me.

The easiest way to bring spring indoors is through flowers of course and changing up your sheets and quilts to lighter colors and fabrics. Roberta Roller Rabbit has some of my favorites. Here are just a sample of my top picks:
