Pretty prints and more

I’m loving all the pretty prints at & Other Stories. The two items I’m thinking about are the multicolored floral dress with the puff sleeves that also comes in a blouse. Beware, the blouse is 16. 5 inches long, so It’s best paired with a high rise jean or skirt . The other item in my cart is the wrap skirt with the little purple flowers. Now, I need to decide on sizes. They don’t have the skirt or dress in any of their stores near me. I may be the only one that would rather try on an item in store than order it online and have to return it. I’d rather get it right the first time and not have to wait weeks before the money goes back on my card. Yes, it’s convenient but I’m impatient when it comes to getting the money put back on my card.

I also spotted a few pretty prints in Shopbop’s new arrivals.

There are a few solid pieces that caught my eye but I’m crazy for prints, so solids are in the minority. I’m head over heels for this Tory Burch dress and the puff sleeve sweatshirt from Rebecca Minkoff. The dress is beyond my budget but the sweatshirt is doable and the sleeves automatically elevate the sweatshirt from casual to a bit dressy.

If you follow me on Instagram then you know my fashion philosophy that if I find something I love and it comes in multiple colors or prints, I buy them. Well, that works when the items are reasonably priced. What do I do when this happens with a splurge item? I don’t buy splurge items very often at all, so this never happens. I bought a Sea NY dress in blue that I mentioned here on the blog. I can’t get the print version out of my head. Of course the print version is more expensive than the solid. Ugh.

I didn’t wear the dress immediately because I wanted to save the first time I wore it for an important occasion. I’ll be wearing the blue dress on Monday because I have a presentation to give and I’m nervous. The dress makes me feel more confident, and I just got my haircolored and blown out. Perfect timing, which rarely happens. At least I will look put together even if I mess up.

I also went down a rabbit hole with some picks from Goop. I tried to pick fairly reasonably priced favorites but you know it’s Goop, so not much is reasonably priced. I did throw a few splurges in there but not many. Trust me, there were a ton of $500 plus items I loved but didn’t include.

Please let me know what you’re loving this week. I’d love to hear from you.

Thanks for visiting.
