What's Chic This Week
One of the makeup products I think you can buy at a drug store is mascara. My mom and I used Maybelline Sky High for a long time and we were both very happy with the results. Then my mom saw a Bethany Frankel video and decided to try a new one. It turns out she loves it, so I picked it up too and love it as well. It’s L’Oreal Extensionist. The brush is flexible and thin, which helps it get right at your roots—key for maintaining that lifted, curled look.
Another item I picked up at Target was this mask. I loved it because you don’t have to leave it on for five to ten minutes. The results were immediately noticeable, leaving my hair feeling soft and moisturized.
I wanted to add a subtle pop to my winter wardrobe. I have enough white jeans but no ecru, so when I spotted these ecru pants on a mannequin, I just had to try them on. Sold. I already own a lot of barrel-style pants because they flatter my figure, and I don’t really need more in my wardrobe, but these have a dart in the knee, so they don’t read as overly barrel-shaped. It’s not just me, the reviews are overwhelmingly positive.
I tried this lower-slung version too. I liked them, but they felt too long on me. I went home and looked up the petite version. What baffled me was that in the store they had a zipper fly, but online the description said they were button fly. I called the store and they verified that the website was incorrect. They are indeed zipper fly, not button fly as the website stated. The fabric is super soft, like a well-worn pair you’ve had for years. These would be a great everyday pair.
I tried this fun Prada dupe and had to size down to an XS. I’ll post the photo on my Instagram shortly. I love the color combination and the wider silhouette of the sleeve. Besides blue or white jeans, I could see these paired with my khaki pants and red ballet flats, but a brown shoe would work as well if y.ou don’t have red
These are so cute. The texture makes these standouts, but the color makes them work with everything. If you are escaping the cold, you can take these with you on vacation and wear them again come spring.
Speaking of khaki pants, these caught my eye.
I’m starting quite a collection of these pants. This was the newest one to land in my cart. I wear a medium petite. I’m not a huge fan of prints but stripes and small polka dots as seen here work for me.
As mentioned above, I’m not a fan of large prints — I tend to get bored of them fairly easily — but this vintage-inspired sweater genuinely made me happy.
Such a pretty pajama set.
Thanks for visiting.
