Soho Stores

Aren't you glad this isn't a Nordstrom Anniversary sale post?

I thought I would share a few pictures of the gorgeous Cuyana store on Prince Street in Soho.  The store has a clean and modern vibe just like the items they sell and will have a minimalist's heart pumping. I would say the brand is a more sophisticated version of Everlane or a lower priced Mansur Gavriel.  Cuyana is known for their reasonably priced leather goods, but they have clothes too. I specifically went to get a Panama hat, which I spotted on a trip down to Soho with my friend Haley.

I bought their white Panama hat with the black ribbon (it's detachable) and it also comes in natural with a navy ribbon.  It's very lightweight, so don't wear it when it's windy (mine flew off my head twice on Saturday.  Who knew there was wind when it was in the 90's???).  I opted for the white version because I have a Panama hat in natural already, and I thought the white one was more unusual.  The brand makes a foldable version too (see the third photo), which is perfect for your next vacation.

I'm also currently on the waiting list for their Summer Hat, which has a wider brim and makes more of a statement than the Panama Hat.  The Summer Hat comes in natural and black. You can see how the Panama Hat looks on my Instagram (@theedgyprep).  I've also provided a picture from Cuyana of how the Summer Hat in black looks on someone's head. You can find all of their hats here. In my opinion, their hats are reasonably priced compared to Janessa Leone, so if you're in the market for a hat, log on, go visit and take a look.

While I was there, I fell in love with with their mini bow bag. It comes with a detachable gold chain as shown, but I prefer it without the chain. It's a great evening bag, no?

I thought I would share a few of their clothing items too, which are typically in solid colors. They have a nice selection of sweaters, dresses, blouses/tees. I would say they have elevated basics that look more expensive than they are.  Their cami is such a great basic with an interesting twist. The extra strap in the back takes this basic to another level.  It comes in three other colors besides black - deep rose, white, sunshine (beige).

How cute is this seersucker one shoulder dress? It comes with a removable strap, so you have styling options.  It's available in navy, white (see below), and lipstick (also pictured).

If you've been following me for a bit, you probably know that I have a soft spot for prints and I especially love anything block print.  So, when I saw Jessie Randall (of one of my favorite brands Loeffler Randall) in one of the brand's Instagram pictures wearing a boho block print beauty (see photo below), I had to check out who made the dress.  The dress was available at a store called Matta in Soho, which is close to Cuyana. They also have stores in Sag Harbor and in ABC Carpet in NYC.

As you can see, Matta also has gorgeous jewelry.  I shot some of their earrings, but they had rings, bracelets, and necklaces too both in real gold and costume quality, so the prices ranged from affordable to more expensive.  I loved their display shelves. Pink and orange is such a good color combo, don't you agree? Anyway, back to the quest for the dress. They had it in stock and I was psyched but worried that it would be way too voluminous for a shortie like me.  The saleswoman handed me an xs and it worked! I will be going back for more.  You can find the dress here.  You'll see it on my Insta feed soon.

Thank you so much for visiting.  I really appreciate your support. I'm always happy to answer questions.
