Heading to the holidays
I haven’t worn Boden in ages. I still have a coat and a pair of shoes that were really great quality. They always make great coats and fun holiday items. As we get closer to winter and the holidays, I decided to check them out and listed some of my favorites for you.
I love this coat. The faux fur is removable if it’s not your thing but I love it. I think faux fur adds a bit of glamour. I’ve always loved red, white and blue together but you typically don’t see a winter version of this color combination. Now I have and it’s good. This coat works equally well everyday (without the fur) or for a special occasion with the fur. I would wear the fur daily, but I’m a big fan of over dressing. If you’re not a fan of the color combo like I am, it comes in navy tweed too.
These shoes tell the story of two different holidays. One is spent at home entertaining visitors and relaxing with family, and the embellished slippers (in more patterns) are perfect for this low key situation. If your holiday involves attending several holiday parties, the bejeweled heels (more colors available) are more appropriate. I love t-straps, which you hardly see anymore, so these check the unique and party ready boxes.
I love a good velvet jumpsuit because it’s so versatile and a blank slate. It can be dressed up or down with a change of shoes, jewelry and possibly a belt. This jumpsuit would look equally good with the slippers or the heels pictured above. If you go with non-embellished shoes, you may want to go for an embellished belt. There are so many options with this one! If you’re not a jumpsuit person, I also really like this velvet top, which could easily be worn with jeans or to work with a pencil skirt or tucked into wide-leg or skinny pants. The top comes in two other colors.
I love stripes, cashmere and cozy lounge wear, so this cashmere hoodie and cashmere joggers checks all of those boxes. I’d be very happy if I got this set for the holidays. This set would also be great for a run to the market with a puffer thrown on and sneakers. No need to look for a sweatshirt to go with your leggings or leggings to go with your sweatshirt. Yes, I clearly love a set.
To keep the cashmere and stripes theme going, I also love these striped cashmere sweaters. The stripes are a nice somewhat hidden surprise.
For those of you that may be spending the holidays at someone else’s house or you have parties to attend and are in need of a gift or two, I’ve found a few for you.
Thanks for visiting!
