A princess and a party

If you're looking to buy a house in Toronto, you may want to check out Meghan Markle's house that she owned while filming her TV series "Suits."  It's on the market for $1, 395 million.  Lucky for us, we can all get a peek inside via Meghan's Instagram account.

The home features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a two-car garage and an outside space. The home is outfitted in white, gray and light wood. The kitchen has white cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. The artwork above her bed is by Inslee Fariss.  You can find her work here. I think her home is very reflective of her personality and her style.  Don't you think?  Modern yet classic, and comfortable.

In other Markle news, a personal essay she wrote for Darling magazine in 2015 obviously has resurfaced with the recent news of her engagement.  The essay is about her struggle with who she was as a young woman in an industry that involves a ton of rejection and self-doubt, which led her to start her blog that's now defunct, The Tig. You can read the essay here.

In case you didn't hear, the royal wedding date has been announced. I will be joining millions of others across the world on Saturday, May 19 as we watch the truly historic royal wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle.  I'm really excited to see them exchange their vows at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.  They have yet again done something unprecedented by not marrying on a weekday.

If you've purchased any glitter covered clothing or shoes like Victoria Beckham this holiday season, you can find tips to maintain and clean them here.  Hint, you'll need hair spray.  Pictured are Kate Spade booties you can find here and the Golden Goose sneakers you can find here.

I'm a fan of a red lip, so I recently ordered Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Stunna lip paint longwear fluid lip color in Uncensored. It's described as a universal red and looks good on every skin tone.  Now I wear red all the time, but I tend to wear a more orange based red.  I walked into my holiday party at work last week and my colleague said how much she liked my red lipstick and how festive it was. Now, I wear red all the time, so her comment made me think how this was really a true red, which I had clearly never found or worn before.  I loved the oddly shaped applicator, which is angled and flat and makes application user-friendly and seamless. The bottle is gorgeous, so if you reapply in public you can count on someone commenting on the packaging. If you don't wear lipstick regularly, it's great for a party and it makes a nice gift for people that are lipstick lovers. It didn't last for 12 hours as it's promoted, but it did last for a long time. You can find it here.

If you're still looking for a holiday party, winter wedding or NYE dress, I spotted a few that in different price ranges for different personalities. I'd probably choose a jumpsuit.  I think this silver sequin number is adorable and it's on sale. This lace dress is elegant and can be worn well after the holidays are over. This jumpsuit or this one are great basics that just need great earrings and shoes.  In my opinion, these jumpsuits are classics that can be worn on many occasions, which makes them smart purchases.  I'm in love with the color of this dress. You may want to wear Spanx with this navy slinky dress, yes, it's simple but a total showstopper.  This merlot colored velvet and ruffled dress is perfect for a winter wedding. This black lace dress is stunning.

If you decide you're going to wear something a bit plain for NYE or that holiday party (like the jumpsuits above), you may opt to dress up your outfit with  statement earrings, so here are a few neutral options: three ball earringschandelier earringrhinestone hoopssilver drops, (comes in several colors) and double hoops.
