How pretty are these Alepel handpainted loafers?  I think $185 price tag is reasonable for these works of art.  You can find them here.

I've recently invested in a few new skincare products as part of a Sephora sale.  I bought small sizes of Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil (smells terrible but I think it's working) and Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel and Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum. I did a ton of research and all of them received high marks. I also liked that Drunk Elephant is a supporter of International Elephant Foundation and cruelty-free.  I started off with small sizes (actually a mini set called Rise + Glow) because I have very sensitive skin and I wanted to see if I would have a bad reaction. Good news, no allergic reactions. I also bought mini sizes because both brands aren't  cheap, so I didn't want to invest a ton of cash into products that I couldn't tolerate.  It hasn't been long enough to give them a fair review, but this article popped into my life just in time because I wasn't a 100 percent sure of the layering rules, so read it if you're like me and have no idea of what to slather on first.  Does anyone use these products?  If you do, how long have you used them and what are your thoughts?

Here are a few of my latest purchases that I've gotten from J. Crew during their 40 percent sale. The 40 percent off is over, but most are on sale.

Sequin flats with stars - now 25 percent off.  You need to try these because the sizing is a bit wonky.  I took my regular size 7.5, but I had to put a  back of the heel pad in one shoe and it works perfectly.

Velvet embellished mary jane pumps - now 25 percent off (love them with the jumpsuit below).  It's very comfortable because of the block heel.

Funnelneck shirt - now $45 I have this is in red and white stripes.  I'm a sucker for a classic white shirt and there's nothing better than a twist on the classic.

Cropped velvet jumpsuit - now 50 percent off.  I am not a jumpsuit person because I think they are too complicated because I go to the bathroom too many times and day.  Once I tried this one, I'm a convert. I saw a beautiful taller girl try it on in store and I'm petite, so I would say that it works for women of different heights.  Please try it.  There are a ton of ways you can wear it. Since I need a bra, I will pair it with a turtleneck and a tee as it gets warmer. Not sure if a button-down would be too bulky.  I'll have to try it.  My friend and stylist Claire also suggested I pair it with a turtleneck and then a button-down worn open over it and knotted at the bottom.

Deep indigo thread ball drop earrings - They are $24.50 and come in five colors including indigo that's pictured.  It's a statement earring but not over the top.
