Starting to shop for spring
I decided to take a trip to J. Crew today when I shouldn’t do any shopping, but I got the itch. While there is still snow on the ground, I’m looking at spring things. It’s just around this time every year that I have to buy some spring things because I’m so tired of my wardrobe. Maybe I think if I buy spring things then it will come?
Anyway, I was trying to be good and only buy things that I had been eyeing for a while. Well, I hadn’t seen this Collection blouse, so it wasn’t on my radar. Therefore, it was off limits according to today’s shopping rule, right? I did leave it in the store but quickly bought it when I got home. When I tried it on I had the bow in the front because I had no idea it was called the bow back blouse. It actually worked with the bow in the front, which is an even better reason to buy it. I tried it in black, but It also comes in ivory, navy, black and hyacinth. When I came home I was debating if I should buy it in Ivory or navy. I decided to go for the hyacinth because there weren’t many left, and I don’t have this color blouse in my wardrobe. It’s a beautiful blouse that can easily be dressed up or down. The bow takes care of wearing a necklace, so all you need is a bracelet or earrings. It’s pretty close to the most perfect top.
This dress is deceptive. It’s a little too conservative for me, but once you have it on it looks like it was made for you. I wasn’t able to link the navy and white version, which is the color combo I bought. It comes in the cerise color (shown), navy, green and pink as well. It’s on sale too. I don’t say this often, it’s a must. It looks so good on the body and it’s comfortable. It’s the perfect dress for work, graduations, interviews and any time you need to get a little dressed up but not too over the top. Seriously, buy this dress.
I tried this in the print version because I needed to find out what size I should order. It runs big, so i sized down. I’m trying to buy less prints so that I get more bang for my buck when it comes to making as many outfits as possible. I’m looking for classic items in solid colors but with different silhouettes, so it has a little whimsy. This checked all the boxes. I like that I can remove the belt, which will transform the look when paired with my own belts. Sometimes a bow can be too cutesy.
I’ve been eyeing this dress for a while and finally bit the bullet once I tried it on. I sized way down, so I would say you need to try this on in a store if you can. I typically wear a 4 but I took this in a 0. It has pockets, enough said.
I thought these would be great in the summer when I typically pull my hair back. They’re unusual, fashion forward, and they were 30 percent off. Warning, they are long. If you don’t like statement earrings that are on the large side, these are not for you.
I’ve wanted this La Ligne sweater for ages (top picture) but it’s pricey. When I saw that Zara had come out with a similar version in cotton with adorable nautical should buttons, I knew i had to have it. The only issue is that it’s over-sized and they don’t make it in XS. I bought it anyway because sometimes you want an over-sized sweater. You can buy it here.
Thanks for visiting.
