Spring has sprung

Spring has sprung

Now that the weather’s getting warmer, this IT Cosmetics CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage + Ant-Aging Hydrating Serum with SPF 50 is all that I wear. It has everything you need. I’m fair, so you can see everything, so I need coverage even when it’s hot. This stuff gives great coverage, provides moisture, saves time because it’s a one and done product and protects my skin from the sun.

I tend to wear bright colors and flats more often when it’s warmer, so these Mansur Gavriel ballet flats caught my eye. They come in both classic and fun colors, and some of my favorites are below. You can get them monogrammed to make them one of a kind. Photo: Le Catch.

I was tempted by the recent Shopbop sale but I didn’t end up ordering anything. I was too overwhelmed with choices. These loafers caught my attention ( along with many other things) but they were sold out in my size. I did call Shopbop and they are restocking, but I ended up buying these Zara flats that are similar for a more affordable price.

When I went to Everlane last weekend I tried on this over-sized linen cotton blazer. It runs really big. My size was a 00. I buy a few white blazers every season because I stain white before I leave the house - lipstick, makeup, coffee etc… When one blazer is being cleaned I always have a backup. This one is priced right to get multiples. One thing to note, you can’t wear it with wide-leg pants if you’re short. I tried and it wasn’t a good look. It looks especially good with a white tee, white skinny jeans and a pair of sneakers.

This is a classic. You will wear it for years to come.

You may know Staud for their handbags (if not, check them out), but they also make lovely dresses like this one. They are worth a look. Shirt dresses look great on many body types and I love how light and airy this one looks.

When spring arrives, I crave a refresh with everything including my kitchen. I’m loving these Kate Spade dining sets

A spring sweater that comes in pretty pastels including lilac, light blue, pink and white. I’m waiting for the blue to arrive.

I love hats. I think it’s because I know my dad loves them. I like them because they add a fun extra touch to an outfit, and hats protect your hair color and skin (make sure the brim is wide enough). I bought a white panama hat last year at Cuyana, but it was my second choice. I really wanted their black Summer hat, but they were out of stock. I just ordered one so that I’m not left empty handed again. The Cuyana hats are priced right for the number of times I actually remember to wear it (i’m making an effort this year to be better in this department). I do love the Janessa Leone (second picture) hats but they are a little more expensive and I don’t think I’ll wear it enough for the cost per wear to be worth it.

Remember, you can click on the images to be directed to the website with the exception of the Zara shoes.

Thanks for visiting. Let me know what spring things are on your mind.
