The Sunday Six

The Sunday Six

I took a trip to Bergdorf Goodman today and I spotted this artist hand painting Nicholas Kirkwood Beya flats.  It was fascinating to watch her. She was laser focused and had the steadiest hand I've ever witnessed. In addition to flowers, she was painting people's initials. I wish I had a talent like hers.  I've always been jealous of people who have a creative skill.

I'm a huge fan of Loeffler Randall shoes.  I've been lucky enough to get most of my collection on sale with their friends and family or their sample sale.  However, I wasn't able to snag my favorite, the Coco heel, with any discount. When I got my taxes back, I decided I wanted to get a second pair in another color (my first pair was in the watermelon color below). They are comfortable but you need to go up half a size in these.  I have terrible callouses on the side of my big toe and on the bottom of two my toes and these are great because these are velvet, so there's no rubbing.  I decided to not be practical and choose the very versatile navy.  Instead, I chose the emerald green color (below, middle).  The Coco has a 3.5-inch heel, so if you're not someone that can wear a heel over 3 inches, you're in luck now.  Loeffler Randall just introduced Coco's sister Celeste. She has a 2-inch heel and is available in some of the same colors as Coco and a few different ones too.  Celeste comes in petal pink (below, bottom), brique red (Celeste only), river blue (Celeste only), sienna brown, pearl white (Celeste only), emerald green and ink black (Celeste only).  You can find both shoes here

If you're going to be entertaining this summer and plan to serve rose, you may want to purchase this brand because not only is it good, but it has the most beautiful bottle.

I'm a huge fan of statement earrings, so I'm familiar with Elizabeth Cole.  If you're not, you need to check out her website here.  Some of my favorites are this ( my top pick), this (middle) and this (bottom pair).  They are pricey, so I don't own any myself.  If I'm going to splurge, I go for shoes and bags, but these may be your choice for a splurge.

These denim espadrilles are essential for summer.  They go with just about every color and the height is necessary for petite ladies like myself that like long dresses.

Who doesn't love a three-in-one that's easy to throw in a tote and smells great? This Supergoop! x Milly Defense Refresh Setting Mist Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 50 sets your makeup, controls oil and shine and protects your skin from photoaging UV rays. It has a fine, even mist and smells of mint and rosemary.  We all know that we should wear sunscreen all year and every day even if it's cloudy, and this product makes it easier and a more pleasant experience.  My advice with all beauty products, try a mini version if possible to see if you like it. I'm a sucker for good packaging, so this collaborative edition with Milly, was calling my name. It's cruelty-free, non-irritating and allergy-tested. It's water and sweat resistant for 40 minutes, which is just about the length of my commute. In July and August, this will help me to stay fresh looking battleling the urban jungle.
