As a petite person, I think this is the perfect cardigan. It hits me perfectly at the top of my hip so that it doesn’t look too long or sloppy with dresses or skirts. It’s also a substantial weight, which means it’s the perfect transitional cardigan. And, lucky for us, it’s on promotion. I already had the white in my wardrobe, and I just picked up brown, navy and black.

Now that we are all wearing masks, the emphasis is all on the eyes. I love a good cat eye and I typically use black but there are days when it’s a bit harsh and I wear brown. I read that Fenty Beauty had eyeliners that are similar to my favorite Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Shadow, so I thought I’d give them a try. They are said to be creamy (I can’t stand eyeliners that tug at the skin), smudge resistant, water resistant, long-wearing and cruelty free. I wear the Laura Mercier as both eye shadow and liners, and I wear the colors Moonlight, Sandglow and khaki. I can’t say enough good things about them. A colleague of mine asked what I wore on my eyes (it was Moonlight) because she wanted a shadow for her wedding. She wore it and still does Yes, it’s that good.

There was a sale on Fenty, so most colors are gone but the neutrals are still left — a matte black and brown. I ordered “Cuz I’m Black,” a matte black and “Space Cookie,” a brown with a hint of gold glitter that is currently sold out. I’m also curious about the new Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum, which is a 2-in-1 toner-serum combo that targets pores, improves the look of dark spots, brightens, smooths, and fights shine—all without stripping skin. There are times after I use my toner when my skin feels tight and in need of moisture. Sounds like I need to give this a try once I finish my current toner. I’m a sucker for good packaging and the bottle is clean and sleek. I love when a bottle is chic enough to be left out of the medicine cabinet.

While we are on the subject of makeup, let’s switch celebrities and move on to Victoria Beckham. I love her Lid Lustre in Mink. It’s a brown wash of color with subtle sparkle that makes your eye look a bit wet. It’s buildable, lasts all day and the packaging is beyond gorgeous. I just picked up the blond color and Cherie, her new color of the Bitten Lip Tint, which won’t transfer on to your mask! It’s a pink rose gel that plumps and smooths. It’s infused with hyaluronic acid and squalane, so it won’t feel dry on your lips and it’s a tint, so it stays in place for hours.

I just got this in the mail. It’s ridiculously long (not uncommon) on me but adorable. I wish it was cotton but I can deal. The material and the long sleeves make it perfect for the cooler days. I tried it on with a one of my favorite long Lizzie Fortunado necklaces and I was smitten. It would also look great with statement earrings too. I love caftans but I shy away from them because they are typically too overwhelming. This dress gives me the caftan with a shape because of the belt. I prefer a dress to sweatpants or leggings when I work from home or run errands, so this works for me.

My mom told me I had to get this. She has course and frizzy hair and she said after using it her hair was significantly softer and smoother. Of course I picked it up because my mom is never wrong. It has a fresh smell, my hair is incredibly soft and it absolutely made my hair smoother without weighing it down. I typically have to use a hot iron for a few passes after I was my hair and I didn’t this time. I highly recommend trying this.

These are classics with a twist that are on my wish list.
