Easily Influenced — The Edgy Prep

I saw this maxi skirt on the 9 to 5 Chic blog ( see shots from her blog below) and immediately purchased it because Ann Taylor’s sale is 40 percent off, I love anything that’s black and white because it’s so easy when I’m running late (often) and anything with a leaf print. I also linked a really cute jumpsuit, neutral mules and comfy but cute lace espadrilles that also come in cream for people that don’t live in NYC and can keep them clean.

I’ve been thinking about this bamboo bag with handle for a while, and I’ve linked it on the blog before. I decided to check to see if it was on sale because there a lot of sales for July 4 going on right now. Unfortunately, it’s not on sale, but I spotted a few new summer clutches while visiting the site. Now, I’m not a huge fan a clutches because I’m afraid I’d leave it somewhere. Personally, I need a strap to feel comfortable, but I know there are many ladies that love them, so I did link a few cute ones if you’re a clutch lover.

I saw Geri Hirsch (see photos below) wearing a prairie skirt and had to take a look where she bought it. It was from Ralph Lauren. The brand is having a July 4 , so you may want to take a look. I’ve linked my favorites from the brand. I haven’t pulled a trigger on the prairie skirt yet. I’m trying to buy things I can can wear to work and on the weekend, and I can’t wear this skirt to work but I may cave because it’s a silhouette I love and it’s so easy to just throw on a tee and go.

I’ve been thinking about buying GoopGlow body luminizer. It supposedly provides a flattering glow and blurs imperfections; who doesn’t need that? It also contains good for you ingredients including Australian kakadu plum (a superfruit that’s one of the world’s richest sources of vitamin C) and hyaluronic acid plus sugarcane-derived squalane. It’s on my list.

I saw this wood and leather squash blossom necklace on Gen Sohr of Pencil and Paper Co.’s Stories (I wasn’t able to grab a shot) and immediately had to check it out. It’s now sold out, so I’m glad I grabbed it when I did. I can’t link to it and not sure if they will restock, but you can take a look on Gunner and Lux under the “Women’s Jewelry” section to see if they bring it back. Accessories are the way to repeat outfits and make them look different. They are especially good for short seasons like summer. I love how a necklace can transform a t-shirt from blah to fabulous.
