Beautifully basic

Beautifully basic

Some people have a few types when it comes to men. I have types when it comes to dress/skirt silhouettes. I love a a wrap, a fit and flare with a full skirt, and a blouse with a matching skirt, so that it looks like a dress.

I bought the leopard shirt dress and the floral top and matching skirt during a recent J. Crew flash sale. Why did I buy them? I liked the leopard print dress because the print isn’t your typical leopard print. I’m a little tired of the traditional print and color combo. The background is navy and the spots are brown and pink. I also thought that it’s the perfect transitional summer to fall dress. I have brown boots and a camel cardigan that would work well with it. The dress comes in three solid colors (red, yellow and black) and the leopard/floral print below.

As for the matching set below, you get a lot of bang for your buck. You can wear the top and skirt as a set or on their own. The set would also look great with brown boots and a blazer or chunky cardigan.

Some great basics below

I have the blue blouse below and it’s one of my favorites. It was hard to grab a while ago, but now it’s fully stocked. I just noticed that the brand has come out with other colors and prints. The basic tee is transformed by the sleeve, which perfectly illustrates that little details make a big difference.

Picking some new favorites. Can you spot the trend? I’m completely obsessed with a dramatic sleeve. Yep, even if it goes out of style, I’ll still be wearing it.

Updates….

I told you about ordering the Stine Goya dress on the last post. If you missed my Instagram post about it, it’s the best sale purchase I’ve ever bought.

In a past Instagram stories post I mentioned I wanted to buy this aromatherapy diffuser. I bought it during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, and I’m loving it. I’m using lavender essential oil. It has auto shut off, different intervals of time you can select for it to run, as well as different colored lights, so it can be a night light too. I’m not a fan of colored lights, so I appreciate the no light at all option. It’s definitely worth the $26.

These are $47 and super chic.

I bought the cracked silver metallic but they also come in cracked gold metallic and uncracked colors too. They are better than your typical ballet flats. The shape elevates them.

Thanks for visiting. Let me know what you’re loving lately.
