What's Chic This Week

I went to the new Tuckernuck store in NYC and picked up this cashmere cardigan in medium in green. It’s currently being monogramed. My next color that I’d like to purchase would be the chocolate.

Love this belted cardigan that gives Ralph Lauren vibes for a much better price.

A great chore jacket in a gorgeous brown shade that’s perfect for the fall season and makes an excellent transitional piece for cooler days.

Such an elegantly tailored tweed jacket that is perfect for both work and play, especially when paired with your favorite jeans.

A vegan suede midi in silhouette (A-line) that looks good on everyone.

I saw a women trying these on in the Tuckernuck store and they looked great on her foot. She said they were very comfortable too.

I also noticed a different woman trying on the snakeskin version of these shoes. They come in several different colors, but the only ones I actually saw were the snakeskin pattern, but I’m drawn to the black (as usual). I really love that the height of the heel is walkable.

I usually struggle to find pants, so I was surprised by these. The regular small fit well but was too long for my 5’2” height. The petite small changed the fit in the hip, so I tried a medium petite, and it worked great. I bought the black and wish I had gotten the navy too. They’re made of textured satin with an ever so slightly wrinkled look that doesn’t need ironing, which saves precious time in the morning when I’m getting ready for work. Love they can be dressed up or down.

I love the Stratus pants that look similar; they fit well in the hips. These are slimmer in the hips and have a more flared leg. I tried these before and didn’t like them. If I had tried the petite and gone up to a medium, I would have loved them. A small regular doesn’t just change in length when you try a petite small because the length and proportions change. As soon I tried on the petite small, the hips were a bit snug because they hit me in a different place. The petite medium gave me the fit I wanted. I think I may go for the peridot too.

I have this dress in blue and white, so choosing it in a fall color was an easy choice for early fall when it's still really warm.

I received a $900 J Crew gift card as a reward for leading a major platform launch at work. Yes, I’m grateful and lucky. I chose J Crew from may gift card retailers because I knew I wanted this jacket. The medium size felt a bit too large on me, so I decided to go with the small instead. I plan to wear it as a blazer underneath a light coat to keep it protected and looking fresh for as long as possible. I plan to spray it with rain and stain protectant as well.

Thanks for visiting!
