Now that I’m wearing tall boots I need skinny jeans. I just bought these high-rise skinny jeans. I recommend that you size up. They named them skinny for a reason.

I have been lusting after these Isabel Marant sneakers for months. I called the Isabel Marant store several times to check if they had received a shipment. While they didn’t and told me to go to the Soho store (laziness prevented my splurge), they also told me to try these on because they run short. I’m glad I took their advice. They are available in whole size only, so I thought I would take a 38 because I’m a 7.5 but actually took a 39. I may have gotten away with a 38 but there wasn’t a lot of room in the toe box and I wasn’t wearing socks and my feet swell a ton. Better to go bigger. I wasn’t slipping out and the velcro makes them adjustable. I wore them yesterday and they get thumbs up.

Why did I pull the trigger? I took a trip to the new Nordstrom and when I walked into the shoe department, they were sitting right out front on a pedestal to greet me. It was a sign. Another reason, they are currently running a buy more, save more promotion. Between Nov. 14-19, if you spend $150 you’ll get a Nordy Note (gift card) for $30, spend $300 and you’ll get a Nordy Note for $60, spend $500 and you’ll get a $125 Nordy Note. I believe the card arrives in early January.
